Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 processes and procedures.
• Experience in complex quality initiatives including new product development.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems and requirements.
• Knowledge of quality processes and systems in a custom-configured, high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order business.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding, pipe brazing, powder coating, wiring, and assembly processes.
• Competency with SAP manufacturing and quality software.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of risk management techniques.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including persuasion skills.
• Experience with problem-solving and corrective-action development and management.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques, process control charts, data collection, and analysis.
• ASQ QE Certification
• ASQ Auditor Certification
• Lean Sigma Black Belt
• Ability to read and understand English instructions
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, and talk or hear
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments and around moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, weather, vibration, and noise

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 program
• Develop, qualify, continuously improve, and document Quality processes and methods
• Interface with Safety, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, Design Engineering, and Production teams
• Use Lean and Six Sigma methods to eliminate waste and reduce process variation across manufacturing, office, supplier-performance, and field-service processes
• Lead projects improving the quality of new products, processes, and technologies
• Develop methods, processes, and procedures to capture data for quality analysis
• Conduct formal assessments of internal and external processes
• Coordinate internal company activities to resolve customer complaints and concerns
• Prepare and maintain corrective and preventive actions
