Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer III on a contract basis in Fairfield, OH. The role focuses on manufacturing quality, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will work with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to reduce defects, scrap, and rework while supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives and process audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Manufacturing Quality or related engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience investigating product and process quality issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate product and process quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support customer and internal quality issue resolution activities.
  • Work directly with production teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Maintain process control plans and quality documentation.
  • Monitor process performance and escalated quality risks when necessary.
  • Support traceability systems and manufacturing quality controls.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to improve production performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer Quality teams.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes from a quality perspective.
  • Provide quality-related guidance and training to production personnel as needed.

Quality Assurance Engineer III (Manufacturing Quality Engineer) / Manufacturing Quality Engineering / Contract / Fairfield, OH 45014

Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to delivering high-quality products through operational excellence, continuous improvement, and advanced manufacturing processes. Based out of Fairfield, Ohio, they are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer III (Manufacturing Quality Engineer) on a Contract basis.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving real-world manufacturing challenges and making a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is someone with manufacturing quality or engineering experience who thrives on the production floor, enjoys root cause analysis, and wants to expand their expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. You'll gain valuable exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams while contributing to meaningful process improvements that reduce defects, scrap, and rework.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Support Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience investigating product and process quality issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
