We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer-I to join our Prime Video Ads QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our advertising products and services across Video On Demand (VOD) and Live Events. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test cases, automate testing processes, and identify and resolve issues before they impact our customers.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium. Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality. Experience with Android, iOS or any third party living room [3PLR] application development or testing. Experience scripting or coding. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements. Experience with cloud-based testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of video streaming technologies and ad insertion/ingestion techniques. Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.

Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Prime Video Ads products. Automate dashboards from test results and reports. Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track software defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and user experience. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

A day in the life
- Attend daily stand-up meeting
- Review BRDs, UX Design Docs, EDDs
- Create Test Strategies and Test Plan Documents
- Internal and external reviews of QA artifacts with different stakeholders
- Manual ads features and regression Testing on 1P (FireTV sticks, FireOS based TVs) and 3PLR (LG, Samsung, Xbox. AppleTV, Roku, PS, etc.)
- Automate ads features whereas applicable
- Bug triages with Product and engineering teams
- Status reports
- Bring innovation and new ideas to life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,100/year in our highest geographic market.
