MBDA S.A.S. seeks a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer to support MBDA products across customer sites, engaging a multinational team in a customer-facing environment to manage non-conformance and drive continuous quality improvements.

The role features dynamic working arrangements with on-site collaboration and a focus on compliance with the Business Management System, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, responsible for supporting activities relating to MBDA products in use with our customers. The role will require you to network with and gain visibility of a large variety of MBDA's functions and in service support activities across different sites. Working in a customer facing environment, with a dynamic and experienced Product Support Team. Customer Support and Services is a fully integrated directorate within MBDA, which provides a unique multinational, multi product, multi customer and user focused environment. The Quality Assurance team support MBDA Products with our UK and Export customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer or practitioner to further develop their career.

Responsibilities

• Manage product non-conformance and facilitate implementation of non-conformance process.
• Provide non-conformance data analysis and summary reports.
• Support design and manufacturing defect investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and ascertain root cause and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Engineer with an experience or familiarity of quality management systems, techniques and processes.
• Practical knowledge of non-conformance management process and SAP business tool.
• Minimum HNC/HND level qualification with experience within Engineering or Quality Assurance is desirable.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams - an ability to influence change.
• Experience of working within a project environment and able to operate effectively as part of project team.
• Ability to identify risks and critical issues and drive forward suitable mitigation solutions with the aim of reducing rework and increasing Customer satisfaction.
• Ability to understand and respect cultural differences.
• Ability to manage deadlines with an attention to detail.

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1 - 2 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
