Software QA Engineer – Web UI & API Test Automation

Location: US Remote

Type: Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in both manual and automated testing of Web UI and APIs. This is a hands-on QA role embedded in a Scrum team, where you'll work closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality features.

You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining test plans, contributing to automation frameworks, executing test cases, and ensuring stability within CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a strong understanding of Java-based automation tools and experience with modern QA practices in Agile environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Web UI and API test automation for new and existing features
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases (manual and automated)
• Maintain and enhance test plans and test documentation for core product areas
• Contribute to test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber
• Perform API testing using Postman and Rest Assured
• Ensure test reliability and stability within Jenkins or CircleCI pipelines
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to define feature requirements and acceptance criteri
• Analyze software systems to improve testability, performance, and overall design quality
• Track, report, and communicate test results efficiently and accurately using JIRA and Confluence

Professional Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in both manual and automated testing
• Strong QA knowledge, including manual, functional, and integration testing
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across a fast-paced Agile team
• Proactive, independent, and highly organized
• Fast learner who embraces new technologies and tools
