Job summary

Acushnet Company, maker of Titleist, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure quality system conformance and supplier performance in manufacturing and supplier environments. You will develop testing procedures, support supplier qualification, and investigate quality issues to improve product consistency.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and R&D to drive continuous improvement, analyze data, and lead quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Experience managing projects and driving quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, raw material evaluation, and process analysis.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring testing procedures, specifications, and quality controls.
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification, certification, and performance management programs.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems preferred.
  • Quality certifications such as CQE, CQM, or CSQP are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Operations, and R&D.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, occasionally on short notice.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in laboratory, manufacturing, and supplier environments while adhering to all safety and PPE requirements.

  • Monitor quality performance and evaluate process capability across manufacturing and supplier environments.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures, sampling plans, and quality reporting systems.
  • Investigate quality issues and identify root causes to improve product consistency and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, Manufacturing, and R&D to strengthen product quality and supplier performance.
  • Support supplier qualification and evaluation of new materials and substitutes.
