Support the day to day activities of the Quality Management System, including coordinating and facilitating the audit process to ensure company compliance to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer and internal company standards. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting third party audits between Astemo and the contracted IATF registrar. The IATF Support Auditor responsibilities may also include supporting any training needed within the organization regarding the QMS/New Hire Orientation. This position will include some Quality Control functions.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities / % of Time Spent performing Duties

• Support all departments for Astemo internal audits and third-party ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits: 30%
• Conduct internal audits of ISO, IATF, and Astemo audits as required.: 20%
• Continuous improvement of the QMS and follow up with groups: 15%
• Prepare results for reporting to management: 10%
• Document and record control: 10%
• Manufacturing floor responsibilities (Backup) 5%
• Other duties as assigned: 5%

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• 2-year college degree or 3-5 years relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties.
• Trained as IATF16949 Lead Auditor with valid certification.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• 4-year college degree or 10 years relevant work experience.
• Past ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy with Root Cause Analysis.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Interacts with various levels of associates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed.
• Strong work ethic and self-starter personality.
• Strong abilities in auditing systems and procedures.

Safety and Environmental Management:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

Software:

• Intermediate experience required in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced experience with Excel preferred.

• Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting.
• Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen.

• Requires < 5% travel.
