Job summary

Konnect Resources, LLC in North Hollywood, CA, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure aerospace and defense products meet stringent quality standards. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to maintain and improve the QMS and resolve nonconformances.

You will conduct audits, perform root-cause analysis, drive CAPAs, and support continuous improvement. A 3+ year background in aerospace quality, ISO 9001/AS9100, and proficiency with CMM, GD&T, and inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of quality assurance experience in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001, AS9100 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA policies, processes, and procedures for aerospace/defense products.
• Perform quality audits, inspections, and testing to verify conformance with specs and regulatory requirements (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Identify, document, and address nonconformances; implement corrective actions and CAPAs.

Compensation: $90,000-$140,000 annually

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring precision-manufactured products meet established aerospace and defense quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to maintain and improve quality systems, resolve nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, processes, and procedures to ensure manufactured products meet aerospace and defense industry standards.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, and testing to verify conformance with product specifications and regulatory requirements, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Identify, document, and resolve nonconformance issues and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to address quality issues and support product lifecycle development.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for identified quality issues and deviations.
• Develop and conduct training programs to ensure employees understand applicable quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring proper documentation and traceability of quality activities.
• Prepare quality reports, performance metrics, and documentation to communicate the effectiveness of quality initiatives to management and stakeholders.
• Participate in product design reviews and change control processes to ensure quality requirements are incorporated during development.
• Collaborate with external vendors and customers to address quality concerns and improve product performance.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of quality assurance experience, preferably within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality standards.
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with quality inspection tools and methods, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and GD&T.
• Experience with CAD systems and the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and certifications specific to aerospace and defense manufacturing.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with Minitab, SAP, or other quality assurance management systems.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials, coatings, fittings, fasteners, and related hardware components.
