Job summary

HRUCKUS seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer for an on-site assignment in Jefferson City, MO. You will work with developers to create test plans and execute tests to ensure software quality across functional and non-functional areas.

Qualifications

1 to 5 years of manual testing experience.
1 to 5 years of automated testing experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent QA experience).
Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
Experience with JIRA dashboards to showcase KPIs.
Ability to read and interpret logs.
ISTQB certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the project team to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the application.
Develop detailed and well-organized test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Execute manual test cases to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure the overall quality of the software. Perform both functional and non-functional testing.
Clearly document and report defects, including detailed steps to reproduce, to facilitate efficient communication with developers.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and resolve any issues that arise during the testing process.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts.
Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Provide feedback on ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the testing lifecycle.
Effectively communicate testing progress, results, and any potential risks to project stakeholders.
