Job summary

Bay Cities is seeking a Quality Manager to lead QA and QC across facilities to ensure materials, processes, packaging, and finished goods meet internal specs and regulatory standards. You will oversee quality systems, inspections, audits, non-conformance, product release, and data reporting, partnering with Production, Warehouse, Logistics, suppliers, and customers to protect product integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Six Sigma or ASQ CQE certification preferred.
• Six to ten years in quality control/QA management; packaging industry a plus.
• Three+ years in managerial/supervisory roles overseeing QA inspectors and technicians.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing with corrugated, flexographic, or digital packaging.
• Knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP, HACCP, and SSOP requirements.
• Must be bilingual English/Spanish; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain QA/QC procedures supporting standards and regulations.
• Lead incoming material, WIP, packaging, labeling, and final inspections; create sampling plans.
• Oversee QC Hold area, product release, labeling verification, and traceability.
• Lead MRB investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and rework disposition.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; coordinate customer/regulator audits; close corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records, dashboards, defect trends, scrap rates and product acceptance metrics.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address quality concerns.
• Train and develop Quality personnel; guide cross-functional teams.
