Job summary

GlobalX Airlines seeks a Quality Assurance Auditor to execute CAMP audits in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121.373, evaluating internal maintenance divisions, line stations, and partners. The role requires independent analysis, risk assessment, and documentation of findings with corrective actions.

The candidate should have 3+ years in aviation audits, familiarity with CASS procedures, and readiness to travel domestically.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aeronautical Science, or related field preferred.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.
  • 3 years auditing experience in a Part 121 Air Carrier, Part 145 Repair Station, or military/DoD aviation environment.
  • Working knowledge of CASS audit procedures under 14 CFR Part 121 including internal, external, and follow-up audits.
  • Familiarity with audit tracking or Safety Management System database platform preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations governing air carrier maintenance operations.
  • Understanding of RII programs and audit obligations under Part 121 air carrier operations.
  • Familiarity with Operations Specifications, Airworthiness Directives, and Engineering Order/Authorization processes in an air carrier environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear, objective audit reports.
  • Ability to operate with independence, exercise professional judgment, and interface with managers and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (TRAX preferred) and MS Office.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple audit cycles.
  • Available for domestic overnight travel as required by the audit schedule.

Overview The Quality Assurance Auditor supports GlobalX Airlines' Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) by executing a comprehensive audit and surveillance program in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121.373 and company policy as defined in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) Manual. Operating with functional independence from Technical Operations management, the auditor evaluates the performance and effectiveness of internal maintenance divisions, line stations, and external business partners — and ensures findings are documented, risk-assessed, and tracked to corrective action closure.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aeronautical Science, or related field preferred.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of auditing experience in a Part 121 Air Carrier, Part 145 Repair Station, or military/DoD aviation environment.
  • Working knowledge and practical application of CASS audit procedures under 14 CFR Part 121 including internal, external, and follow-up audits.Prior experience with aircraft parts and materials handling, including receiving inspection, shelf-life, calibrated tooling, and traceability verification.
  • Familiarity with an audit tracking or Safety Management System database platform preferred.

Regulatory Knowledge

  • Thorough working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations governing air carrier maintenance operations.
  • Understanding of Required Inspection Item (RII) programs and audit obligations under Part 121 air carrier operations.
  • Familiarity with Operations Specifications, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Engineering Order/Authorization processes in an air carrier environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills; must be capable of producing clear, objective audit reports supported by evidence.
  • Ability to operate with functional independence, exercise professional judgment, and interface directly with department managers and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (TRAX preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent audit cycles.
  • Available for domestic overnight travel as required by the audit schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with C.A.S.E. (Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation) audit standards and vendor/supplier evaluation methodology.
  • Experience with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) standards, audit checklists, or preparation.
  • Prior experience in a dedicated CASS auditor role at a Part 121 certificate holder.
  • Exposure to Airbus A320 family maintenance programs.
  • Root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plan (CAP) development experience
  • Familiarity with Human Factors principles applied in aviation maintenance auditing.

Task Duties

CAMP Audit Execution

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and external audits covering: Line Stations, Fuel Farms, Fuel Into Plane (FIP) providers, Essential Maintenance Operations, Spec D facilities, and Repair Stations.
  • Perform work-in-progress, transaction, and system audits as directed by the Manager CASS / Manager QA, in accordance with the CASS risk-based audit plan.
  • Monitor maintenance workmanship and materials to verify compliance with GlobalX approved procedures, applicable FARs, and company policy.
  • Audit completed aircraft records including logbook pages, work cards, non-routines, Engineering Orders (EOs), Engineering Authorizations (EAs), and all associated documentation produced by C-Check, PRN, and Line Maintenance operations.

Vendor & Contractor Oversight

  • Conduct on-site audits of maintenance providers at required frequencies, evaluating QA programs, RII compliance, calibration programs, shelf-life controls, personnel training, technical data currency, and facilities.
  • Administer vendor self-audit packages and ensure on-site follow-up within required timeframes for repair vendors.
  • Make recommendations to add or remove companies from the Approved Parts List (APL) / Approved Vendor List (AVL) based on audit results.
  • Verify that contracted and sub-contracted maintenance agencies meet GlobalX specifications, FAR requirements, and anti-drug/alcohol program compliance.

CASS Auditor Responsibilities

  • Perform CASS audits independently of Technical Operations Directors and Managers, maintaining functional independence as required by company policy.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of audit findings; assist management with root cause analysis (RCA), risk assessment, hazard identification, and corrective action plan (CAP) development.
  • Document findings with objective evidence; enter all audit results, findings, and corrective actions into the company audit tracking system for CASS Review Board presentation.
  • Support the Manager CASS in preparation of the monthly CASS Audit Report and CASS Review Board presentations, including trend analysis of audit data, reliability reports, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to verify effectiveness of corrective actions as directed by the CASS Board.

Analysis, Reporting & Records

  • Prepare and issue audit reports identifying hazards and risks found during CAMP audits; categorize findings by risk level and recommend corrective actions to eliminate, mitigate, transfer, or accept risk.
  • Analyze audit findings and reliability reports for trends involving GlobalX services and business partners; cross-reference CASS findings with the Safety Management System (SMS) for risk management as required.
  • Maintain all audit records in accordance with GMM and CASS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all work documents and records reviewed during audit activities.

Additional Duties

  • Deliver training to MX vendors and fuel providers as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other Quality Department projects as directed by the Manager QA / DOQ.
  • Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations; maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager QA or DOQ.
