Job summary

Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation seeks an Auditor to develop, revise, and conduct internal and external audits under CAMP and CASS, ensuring compliance with EPA, DOT, FAA and company policies. The role requires 75% travel and strong knowledge of FARs and QA processes.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering, at least three years in a FAR Part 121 environment, and excellent communication skills. Passport is required and FAA A&P license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering, or equivalent practical career experience.
  • Passport Required
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a FAR Part 121 Air Carrier environment with an emphasis on quality control/quality assurance functions.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, revises and conducts Maintenance Department audits.
  • Evaluates internal compliance and effectiveness of established policies, practices and procedures.
  • Develops, revises and conducts audits, inspections, and evaluations of Essential, non-essential, and On Call maintenance service providers as defined under the D091 Operations Specification.
  • Conducts audits, inspections & evaluations of fuel service providers to the ATA 103 specifications.
  • Prepares for audits through research, performing risk analysis, and interviews.
  • Prepares corrective action records (CAR) and accomplishes follow up when deficiencies are identified.
  • Position requires a comprehensive understanding of the General Maintenance Manual system and associated Regulatory requirements (FARs) to ensure accurate observations during the audit process.
  • Completes required records and reports.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently or within a group environment.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Requires high level of judgment and knowledge to evaluate outcomes of audits and to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Frequent telephone and personal contact with co-workers.
  • Frequent telephone and personal contact with regulators and vendors.
  • Occasional contact with other airline management personnel and industry representatives.

Job description

Following routine procedures or with general supervision from the Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for developing, revising and conducting internal and external audits as part of the maintenance Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) under the provisions or Air Wisconsin’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and the D072 Operations Specification. Accomplishes audits to ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, FAA and Company policies, practices, and procedures.

Pay range: $60,000 - $65,000 / year

  • Hangar/Ramp (hangar is well-lighted, heated, and protected from the elements. Noise level may be high depending on the type of work being performed. Occasionally, there may be exhaust from various engines)

  • May be on call on irregular operations (nights/weekends/holidays)
  • Majority of time spent at low activity level, i.e., sitting
  • Occasional standing/walking/movement required
