Woodland Gourmet is seeking a QA Specialist I on the 3rd shift to support quality assurance processes and audits. The role reports to the QA Supervisor/Manager and works with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include testing, labeling checks, allergen compliance, sample analysis, and data entry for QA documents. The position is on-site in Illinois with potential overtime depending on production needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collect and archive library samples from the Receiving department.
• Conduct quality and food safety audits individually or as part of a team.
• Ensure proper labeling and paperwork for inbound products.
• Perform equipment cleaning and ATP swabbing after sanitation processes.
• Ensure allergen compliance on production lines.
• Evaluate product samples at receiving considering appearance, size, moisture, and ingredients.
• Conduct initial evaluations of possible quality issues.
• Assist with returns inspections and customer concerns.
• Assist with data entry on QA documents and Certificates of Analysis.
• Audit receipts and paperwork for accuracy.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections at production site.
• Inspect equipment and report issues.
• Manage product sampling for Certificates of Analysis creation.
• Conduct internal incident investigations.
• Perform Gluten testing on Gluten-free lines.
• Release products on hold when approved.
