Job summary

The Visual Pak Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to monitor and improve the quality of processes, materials, and finished products on a contract manufacturing line. You will perform line inspections, collect data, and communicate issues to the Quality Supervisor to ensure GMP standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associatess degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a warehouse or similar environment with GMP/safety exposure.
• Experience with ERP/manufacturing software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent line inspections.
• Carry out data collection and recognize errors or deviations.
• Communicate with production personnel and team leaders to resolve basic quality issues.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies.
• Provide QA coverage for assigned production lines.
• Demonstrate good work habits with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance to quality standards, SOPs and programs are being met.
• Communicate all product deviations to the Quality Supervisor or Quality Lead.
• Participate in Quality Line Audits.
• Assist workers in solving daily work problems.
• Perform ATP swabbing to ensure sanitation requirements are met.
• Assist in the Sample Retain Program.
• Verify label accuracy and application.
• Confirm accurate code formatting.
• Accurately complete production line quality documents.
• Calibrate equipment for quality monitoring as needed.
• Ensure samples are delivered to the laboratory for testing in accordance with sampling plans.

Position Purpose/Summary: Ensure quality of processes, raw materials, and finished products through inspection, monitoring, and record keeping for a contract manufacturing blend and fill operation.

Qualifications

Education

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree in relatable topic preferred
• Equivalent progressive work experience in lieu of educational training

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Experience in safety, regulated production/GMP, quality, or other related areas.

Technology/Software

• Must be computer literate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
• Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Communication

• Must have good communication skills
• Must have ability to work well under pressure
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Capabilities

Strength: Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.

Movement: Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling

Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment

Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
