As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will support quality assurance and data analytics initiatives for a federal healthcare program and its marketplace oversight activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of enterprise applications and digital solutions. Working closely with business analysts, project coordinators, and development teams, you will contribute to SharePoint modernization projects and broader health IT initiatives. Your responsibilities will combine software testing, requirements analysis, data validation, and reporting to ensure solutions meet business and technical expectations. You will also leverage Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, to improve data management and operational efficiency. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, interpreting data, and improving software quality in a collaborative environment.

Accountabilities
  • Support quality assurance activities for SharePoint Online migration projects, including the transition from classic to modern environments, ensuring migrated content and functionality meet established requirements.
  • Collaborate with business, product, and development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and functional specifications to integration and regression testing.
  • Design, develop, and execute efficient test plans for new systems, existing applications, technical issues, and software enhancements.
  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed, reusable, step-by-step manual test cases.
  • Plan, document, evaluate, and track testing activities, ensuring clear communication of expected versus actual results, test outcomes, and issue reproduction steps.
  • Identify, document, report, and manage software defects using established defect tracking tools, coordinating with development teams to support resolution.
  • Participate in technical walkthroughs, inspections, quality reviews, user group meetings, and production implementation verification activities.
  • Help establish measurable software quality indicators and evaluate products and services against applicable government quality assurance standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain data repositories and reporting tools, particularly within SharePoint, while supporting data consolidation and preparing supplementary reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests, delivering accurate data analysis and insights within tight deadlines.
  • Work with internal and external customers to understand reporting and analytics requirements, identify relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and monitor data quality and consistency.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve data integrity and reporting reliability.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, process documentation, and project knowledge repositories.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality assurance methodologies, testing processes, reporting practices, and overall project efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional IT experience in requirements development, programming, software testing, or related technical disciplines.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise, including complex formulas, macros, spreadsheet management, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to independently investigate issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Solid quantitative and data analysis capabilities, including experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical requirements, develop structured test scenarios, and document testing outcomes accurately.
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, manual testing methodologies, and defect management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, competing priorities, and concurrent projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and remain calm and productive under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must have resided in the United States for at least three of the past five years.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to obtain access to sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Tester – Advanced Level (TTA, TA, and/or TM) certification.
  • Familiarity with CMMI Level II/III, IEEE standards, software development methodologies, and established SDLC frameworks.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks, software testing tools, and defect tracking solutions.
