Job Summary

As the QA Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our client\'s software products through manual testing methodologies.

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Testing Engineer to join our teamworking on a legacy code modernization project. This position will be a full-time and remote.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases for functional and non-functional testing
  • Perform manual testing and debugging of new and existing application software
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues and improve software quality
  • Collaborate with developers to understand system requirements and create effective manual test cases
  • Perform regression testing manually to ensure the stability of software applications
  • Identify and report defects, track and prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
  • Strong experience with manual testing of web applications and user interfaces
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Experience in writing detailed bug reports and documenting testing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $42.00- $50.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
