Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to provide QA support for all company products and processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained. You will monitor processes, drive improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and boost customer satisfaction.

In this aerospace MRO environment you will participate in audits, review procedures, and analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 quality systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with internal auditing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information on production capabilities and process changes.
  • Conducts internal audits and assists external auditors.
  • Researches and reviews company procedures.
  • Monitors supplier/sub-contractor audits and quality data.
  • Identifies trends in non-conforming documents and proposes corrective actions.
  • Reports issues and collaborates with production and materials to resolve problems.
  • Monitors warranty procedures and drives root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Encourages continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensures compliance with safety requirements and liaises with authorities.
  • Prepares documentation for approvals and external audits.

Quality Assurance Analyst, you will provide quality assurance support for all company products and processes to ensure that the highest standards for quality are maintained. Monitors processes, develops improvements and interfaces with functional departments to achieve customer satisfaction and to resolve issues through cooperative methods.


What You’ll Do


  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends and proposed process changes. Reviews factors in light of quality of product and reliability of quality during production.

  • Conducts internal audits on departments and business units to ensure compliance with company instructions and policies. Assists external auditors from various quality associations.

  • Researches, compiles and reviews company procedures.

  • Monitors, reviews and conducts sub-contractor audits in liaison with supplier development.

  • Collects and analyzes quality data for the purpose of identifying trends with respect to non-conformance documents.

  • Reports necessary information and offers solutions to production, materials and the company as a whole, to correct specification or process problems that are occurring.

  • Monitors warranty procedures including investigation, root-cause, corrective action and follow-up to ensure that continuous improvement is occurring.

  • Encourages and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the business units.

  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.

  • Serves as liaison for StandardAero and Foreign Authorities.

  • Prepares foreign authorization applications and documents for initial and renewal of approvals.

  • Responsible for completion and responses to non-conformities identified during external audits.

  • Prepares internal communications and surveillance audits of departments in preparation for external audits.

  • Provides internal support for completion and submittal of vendor survey requests.

  • Reviews current authorizations for expiration of approvals.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Quality Director/Quality Manager.


What You Will Need


  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • College diploma in mechanical engineering technology; or equivalent.

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.

  • Thorough knowledge of internal audit policies and procedures.

  • Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.


Preferred Characteristics


  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality and original equipment manufacturer manuals.

  • Thorough knowledge of Transport Canada airworthiness certification requirements and other regulatory bodies.
