Job summary

SAIC in Bedford, IN seeks a Quality Lead to establish and lead a new quality program for a DoD-focused production contract. You will build and mentor a team of Quality Associates, setting standards and ensuring products meet quality requirements.

You will report to the Production Manager, drive quality initiatives across production, procurement, and logistics, and continuously improve processes while aligning with DoD quality frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least two years of related quality experience
• Experience developing and implementing quality standards, policies, and procedures
• Ability to analyze situations and data to provide solutions to technical problems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• U.S. Citizenship with Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance SAIC will sponsor the clearance for candidate

Quality Lead

Location: Bedford, IN | Full-Time | Onsite

About the Role

SAIC is seeking a Quality Lead to support a new contract focused on system production for the Department of Defense. This is an exciting opportunity to play a foundational role in establishing and leading a quality program from the ground up. The Quality Lead will report directly to the Production Manager and will be instrumental in building and mentoring a team of Quality Associates while ensuring all products and services meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality programs and processes to establish and maintain standards for products and services
• Develop policies, procedures, and methods to inspect and evaluate product, material, components, and operational quality
• Recommend and drive quality improvements across production operations
• Assist in establishing and leading a team of Quality Associates

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in our Bedford, IN Production Facility

Supports a Department of Defense production contract

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of related quality experience Additional training, certifications, and years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience developing and implementing quality standards, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and data to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under general direction while following established procedures
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance SAIC will sponsor the clearance for candidate

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 9001 compliance experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a defense, government contracting, or production/manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
• Prior experience leading or mentoring a quality team
• Relevant quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or similar
