Job summary

Cidi Labs, LLC is seeking a QA Lead to own software quality across its products. This hands-on individual contributor role will set testing standards, guide quality in every feature, and uphold release quality.

You will understand applications and customer workflows to spot gaps and validate releases with confidence. You’ll work with Product and Engineering to improve testability in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test automation for web applications.
• Strong understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Experience implementing automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience validating REST APIs with tools such as Postman.
• Ability to lead through influence, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Nice to have: knowledge of WCAG accessibility testing and testing in educational technology contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own release quality and define the testing strategy and standards across all products.
• Partner with developers so new features ship with appropriate unit and integration tests, and identify and close coverage gaps.
• Maintain a small, reliable end-to-end smoke suite covering critical user workflows.
• Strengthen CI/CD quality gates and establish quality metrics.
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports and verify fixes.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Business Analysts to improve requirement clarity and testability.
• Mentor developers and interns on testing best practices, fostering shared ownership of quality.

Quality Assurance Lead

Overview

We're looking for a QA Lead to own software quality across Cidi Labs products. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. You'll lead the QA effort among our developers by setting testing standards, guiding how quality is built into each feature, and holding the bar for every release.

Success requires becoming a product expert. You'll need to understand our applications, customer workflows, and expected behavior well enough to spot gaps in requirements and validate releases with confidence.
