Pitney Bowes Presort Services is hiring a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Quality Associate for our Hartford, CT facility. The role involves organizing mail, verifying counts, and ensuring quality before processing.

Training is provided with a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 10:30pm-6:30am) and a daytime training shift. Overtime may be required, with a base rate of $18/hr plus a $1 shift differential, totaling $19/hr.

Responsibilities

• Organize and identify mail by grouping letters, flats, and postcards, separating checked mail from unchecked mail.
• Review pickup slips from driver routes to ensure all slips are received and container counts verified.
• Recognize different mail types and correctly organize job queues.
• Identify customers’ mail using meter lists and other tools.
• Promote a clean work area to prevent injuries and hazards.
• Perform additional duties as required.

You are energetic and performance driven as you contribute to Pitney Bowes success.You will:Organize and identify the mail to be processed by grouping letters, flats, and postcards, and separating the mail that has been quality checked from mail that has not been checkedReview pickup slips received from driver’s route to ensure all slips have been received and reviews container countRecognize different types of mail and properly organize the job queues.Identify customers’ mail by using meter lists and other toolsPromote a clean work area to prevent possible injuries and/or tripping hazards to self and othersPerform all additional duties as requiredYour background:As a Quality Associate, you have:6-12 months previous experience working with the mail and USPS requirements is preferredPrevious experience using a pallet jackPrevious experience operating a meter machine is preferredThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, work effectively under pressure and have strong organizational skillsThe ability to compare and read numbers and customer name and instructionsKnowledge of Multi Line Optical Character Reader mail compatibility requirements is preferredThe ability to understand and follow safety and other operational directions in English, or translated from English, irrespective of your native languageThe ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance noticeThe ability to be dependable and reliableThe ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.Our Team:Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS.
