What We’re Seeking

A highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join as a Quality Assistant. Passion for food safety and quality, a strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills are essential.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am, OT as needed

Compensation: $21.80 per hour plus $1.25 shift differential

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials according to standards.
• Assist in preparing the production line for shift start-up, including bringing scales, analyzers, trays, and utensils.
• Follow GMPs and monitor GMP practices in production areas.
• Monitor line and equipment cleanliness, reporting issues to the Line Controller or Production Lead.
• Conduct portion control weights, machine adjustments, net weights, MAP checks, scale accuracy, label checks, and quality checks at the line.

GMP and Safety:

• Cooperate with all safety program aspects.
• Complete safety and GMP training.
• Report near misses and hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college in food science preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and understanding of quality control procedures.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Cross-cultural competence and respectfulness.
• Ability to operate an iPad.
• Ability to stand and move in cold environments for 95% of shift.
