Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a detail-oriented team member in Georgia to support production quality and safety across departments. You will participate in multiple plant areas, perform quality checks, and help manage defects, returns, and root-cause analyses.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to GMPs, timely reporting, and active involvement in the complaint process with customers, while maintaining high organizational standards and attendance.

  • Perform a variety of tasks in the assigned department and multiple plant areas.
  • Conduct production quality checks and follow safety guidelines.
  • Assist with control of non-conforming supplier defects, returns, sorting and reworks.
  • Support weekly KPIs and compliance with corrective action reports (CAR).
  • Follow GMPs and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing a variety of tasks in the assigned department. Possible to be in multiple areas of the plant during the week working on varied projects and customer orders.
  • Perform production quality checks and ensure all safety guidelines are being followed
  • Help withControl of non-conforming supplier defects and returns, sorting and reworks of damaged product.
  • Support of weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).
  • Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes)
  • Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies. Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer. Catch it on the front end of manufacturing the product. Strong attention to detail for poor quality; prevent bad quality being sent to customer.
  • Superior time management skills and must be self driven and self motivated. Excellent attendance is a must.
  • Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail is must.
  • Ability to solve practical problems: ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
  • Multi-tasking; ability to work with various challenges and deal with a variety of situations
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.\
  • Excellent communication skills; able to speak effectively to employees, managers, customers
  • Will be very involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers; entering, tracking, receiving complaint issues and resolutions to complaints or root cause analysis
  • Ability to perform process audits
  • Management and control of documents (safety, training and quality)
  • Control of non-conforming supplier defects and returns
  • Management of sorting and reworks
  • Management of weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).
  • Responsible for PAR (Preventive Acton Reports)
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • Work overtime as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and follow instructions; quality, safety, job packets

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally be required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
