This highly regarded medical center in Eastern New Mexico is searching for a Quality and Risk Management Director to take the lead in quality, safety, and compliance efforts hospital-wide. The Quality and Risk Management Director will join a growing, not-for-profit acute care hospital known for its commitment to safety and recognized by Leapfrog for excellence in hospital performance. The Quality and Risk Management Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a key role in the hospital’s executive-level initiatives. Supporting this role is one seasoned abstractor. The Quality and Risk Management Director will also work closely with department leaders across clinical and administrative areas to embed a culture of quality and safety at every level.

The Quality and Risk Management Director oversees Quality, Risk, and Compliance, guiding performance improvement, regulatory readiness, and patient safety. This includes working shoulder to shoulder with clinical teams to enhance patient outcomes, supporting the provider peer review process, leading RCA investigations, and facilitating education around Just Culture. The right candidate will be empowered to shape system improvements from the inside out, while receiving support to grow professionally in the role.
