Job summary

Kellanova is seeking a Quality and Food Safety Technician to support programs at the Wyoming, MI plant. Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager, you will help maintain strong quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement. Two shifts are available: 2nd and 3rd.

Responsibilities include inspections, documentation, and training support across the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance and product safety. Must have a high school diploma and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams and adjust shifts as needed.

• Assist with inspections, audits, adverse-event investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support post-sanitation inspections and verification activities for compliance.
• Review and maintain accurate records; monitor compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support employee training, digital technology use, continuous improvement and facility food safety initiatives.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager, the Quality and Food Safety Technician will support Quality and Food Safety programs across the Wyoming, MI plant, help maintain strong quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement. You will work closely with production, sanitation and cross-functional partners to protect product quality, strengthen compliance and support facility-wide food safety priorities. The starting hourly pay for this position is $29.18.

Two positions are available: 2nd Shift, 2:00 p.m.–10:15 p.m.; and 3rd Shift, 10:00 p.m.–6:15 a.m.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

• 
  Quality & Food Safety Support – Support daily quality and food safety activities across the facility and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to the appropriate partners.

  Inspections & Corrective Actions – Assist with inspections, audits, adverse-event investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  Sanitation Verification – Support post-sanitation inspections and verification activities to confirm compliance with Quality and Food Safety standards.

  Documentation & Compliance – Review and maintain accurate records while monitoring compliance with company policies, food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  Training & Continuous Improvement – Support employee training, digital technology, continuous improvement and plant-wide food safety initiatives.
  

We’re Looking for Someone With

• High school diploma or GED and related work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and detailed information
• Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft software applications
• 
  Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and across departments and to adjust shifts, hours or weekend availability based on training and business needs.
