Keep It Real Foods LLC in Madison, WI is seeking a Quality and Compliance Specialist to coordinate, execute, and maintain key food safety and compliance programs from receipt of raw materials through finished product release.

The role reports to the FSQA Manager and requires 2+ years in food safety, plus certifications (SQF Practitioner, HACCP, FSPCA, PCQI) and ability to lead audits, improve the Quality Management System, and ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in food safety and food safety/quality test methods.
  • Certifications: SQF Practitioner, HACCP, FSPCA, PCQI.
  • Experience participating in and managing gluten proficiency testing.
  • Experience developing GMP and food safety requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written regulations and customer specifications.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required uniforms and PPE.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes.
  • Ability to maintain a steady work pace.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure specifications and operations comply with customer-specific requirements and claims.
  • Identify non-conformances and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform root cause and risk analyses.
  • Lead SQF, state, FDA, organic, and customer audits in the absence of the QA Manager.
  • Represent QA and Food Safety systems in the absence of the QA Manager.
  • Support development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
