Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Damar is currently seeking a Quality and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the compliance, quality, fidelity, and outcomes of service through visual data review with a focus on Damar policy and procedure. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator will work cooperatively with all department staff to ensure licensing and state reporting compliance. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for developing and participating in activities that promote communication, monitoring, and documentation of critical incidents.
The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.
The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self‑injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.
Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
