The Quality & Compliance Consultant is responsible for supporting franchisees through the licensing and door opening process, which may include but is not limited to assistance with licensing applications, policies and procedures, related resources, and survey preparation support. The Quality & Compliance Consultant is also responsible for assisting franchisees with the creation of and adherence to corrective action plans. The Quality and Compliance Consultant will provide continued support to the franchisees on compliance matters and assist with the Agency’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program.
This is a contract position
Accountabilities:
- Works with franchisees on a regular basis to support their compliance needs.
- Researches and reviews regulations regularly to assist with resource compliance.
- Educates and coaches franchisees on Agency best practices for compliance matters.
- Serves as a continuing resource for franchisees on compliance subjects.
- Works with other departments as necessary to consult on various compliance matters.
- Attends regular compliance meetings to provide support and valuable feedback to the compliance team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides licensing and door opening assistance to franchisees that may include but is not limited to the following support:
- Review and guidance on the completion and submission of a licensing application.
- Collection and review of required application documents (i.e., Articles of Incorporation, Insurance, lease, local business license, business plan, etc.).
- Assistance in creation of a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Guidance on any required hires (i.e., Administrator, RN, etc.).
- Researches and reviews state and federal requirements related to licensing and home care regulations.
- Creates and revises home care policies and procedures and related resources as necessary to meet compliance.
- Creates home care licensing regulation crosswalks to assist the franchisee with home care compliance.
- Creates, provides, and reviews compliance folders with franchisee.
- Collects and supplies franchisee documentation to the National Accounts Department for inclusion in various national accounts.
- Responds in a timely manner to all franchisee emails and phone calls to provide timely compliance support.
- Assists with corrective action plans on the franchisee level and for the department as a whole.
- Provides coaching, teaching, and training opportunities for the franchisees related to compliance.
- Assists with the Agency Quality Assurance Performance Improvement project by encouraging franchisee participation and providing reports, recommendations, and feedback.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assists with departmental projects related to compliance and quality as requested.
- Assists other departments with compliance matters as necessary.
- Assists franchisees with other program applications (i.e., waiver programs) and policies as requested.
- Possible minimal travel to assist with franchisee compliance support as needed.
Goals and Measurements (Key Result Areas):
- Successful licensing and door openings for assigned franchisees.
- Effective outcomes related to training/coaching/education to franchisees: Deficiency free surveys.
- Acceptable plans of correction by regulatory bodies.
- Development of training/educational resources related to compliance matters.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in home care or home health care licensing, operations, or survey preparation highly preferred.
- Workable knowledge of home care/health care regulations is a plus, as well as experience working with accrediting bodies.
- Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement activities desired.
- Must have project management experience and be resourceful.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and remotely and with a team.
