Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Intern for the Human Pharma Quality Systems & Compliance department at the Columbus, Ohio facility. You’ll work on data analytics, AI initiatives, and quality process improvements across supplier management and strategic quality projects.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards with Power BI, analyzing trends, and supporting continuous improvement. This internship offers exposure to global QA operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• Enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship.
• Overall GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Major or minor in a related field of internship.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credits at current college.
• Graduate/advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credits at current college.

Responsibilities

• Support technical product complaint management activities, including trend analysis and KPI reporting.
• Utilize data analytics tools, including Power BI, to develop dashboards and visuals for Quality Systems operations.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and digital solutions to improve quality processes.
• Assist with ongoing quality projects focusing on complaint handling, supplier quality, and documentation management.
• Research quality system best practices related to digital transformation and AI-enabled quality operations.
• Analyze internal quality data and trends to provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Prepare business cases, presentations, and strategic recommendations for Quality leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline quality processes while maintaining compliance.
• Support data science and risk-based decision making in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide input on strategic quality projects and future Quality Systems capabilities.
