Job Description:

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end QA engineering and testing initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle, including test planning, design, execution, reporting, automation, and various testing types such as functional, regression, UAT, black box, and white box testing.
  • Create and maintain test plans and individual test cases using approved standards, processes, and tools for both simple and complex projects.
  • Evaluate risks to determine the scope and coverage of test plans.
  • Execute test cases and document defects accurately using approved standards, processes, and tools.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, development, and review.
  • Contribute to the creation and management of project plans.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional architecture, security, and compliance requirements of assigned systems and integrations.
  • Create and maintain complex database queries and automation scripts.
  • Participate in designing test harnesses, automation, and performance testing frameworks.
  • Implement automated testing solutions within DevOps CI/CD pipelines across multiple projects.
  • Collect and analyze test metrics, summarize findings, and make recommendations.
  • Design and architect testing frameworks from scratch and suggest improvements to existing frameworks.
  • Guide best practices in automation code development, documentation, maintainability, and data-driven development.
  • Mentor and coach junior and staff-level employees on essential job skills.

Note: Position may telecommute from any U.S. state except California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Washington.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze requirements and create test plans, strategies, and cases based on Business Requirement Documents.
  • Experience planning and coordinating all QA activities from test planning through defect tracking and re-testing.
  • Proficiency in executing test cases, logging defects, and collaborating with development teams.
  • Knowledge of various testing types: System, End-to-End, Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT.
  • Experience with Web Service Testing, Mainframe Testing, Data Warehousing Testing, and POS Testing.
  • Familiarity with Bugzilla, Jira, and Star Team.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Unix, SoapUI, CICS, JCL, and Oracle.
  • Understanding of HTML, XML, JSP, and Servlets.

Additional requirements include drug screening and background checks upon hire.

Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 annually

Work Location: 5381 S. Green Street, Murray, UT 84123. Telecommuting possible from most states except specified ones.

Hours: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
