Job summary

Pace Analytical seeks a Quality Analyst to oversee the analysis, administration, and oversight of standard quality policies, programs, and practices. You will guide staff and management using knowledge of quality systems, equipment, testing, and procedures.

Responsibilities include audits, data verification, and cross-functional project support to drive operational improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Quality Analyst
Summary

Responsible for providing and/or overseeing the analysis, administration, and oversight of standard quality policies, programs, and practices. Provides guidance, feedback, and support to employees and management using fundamental professional and technical knowledge of quality systems, equipment, testing, and procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee, review, complete, and process various quality forms, documents, databases, and related materials.
  • Provide analysis, interpretation, and guidance to staff, management, and functional leaders regarding quality policies, programs, and practices, including support for operational improvements and change initiatives.
  • Research and resolve management and employee questions related to quality requirements; assist with customer feedback investigations and coordinate appropriate responses.
  • Analyze operational results, feedback, and quality data to identify trends, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations for management.
  • Ensure accuracy of testing, equipment, procedures, operational databases, and reports through audits, reviews, and data verification activities; collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and execution of quality and cross-functional projects, including budgeting, timelines, resource planning, and project reporting.
  • Interpret and apply departmental policies, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Contribute to departmental effectiveness by offering process improvement suggestions and actively participating on work teams.
  • Promote and support the mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating professional, courteous, and cooperative behavior with customers and colleagues and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Operations, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Fundamental principles, practices, and techniques of quality management.
  • Administration and oversight of quality programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Methods for identifying and resolving quality-related issues, questions, and concerns.
  • Applicable quality regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Standard testing equipment, tools, and calibration processes.
  • Computer applications and systems related to quality management and reporting.
  • Principles and practices of effective project team participation.
  • Effective communication methods for interacting with staff, coworkers, and customers.
  • Business English usage, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Administering and supporting a variety of quality programs and processes.

Physical / Mental Requirements
  • Mobility to work in both laboratory and office environments.
  • Ability to use standard office and laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force and frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read printed materials and computer screens.
  • Hearing and verbal communication abilities sufficient for effective in-person and telephone communication.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in both laboratory and office settings. Laboratory work may involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors, and other laboratory-related materials and conditions.
