Job summary

Waltonen Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team. The role involves reviewing finished products, certifications, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.

You will develop final quality packages and coordinate with suppliers for special processes. The position also requires maintaining calibration records, interpreting GD&T, and acting as the primary liaison for customer quality representatives and source inspectors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality assurance buyoff/engineering position or in aerospace and/or aerospace tooling industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe tools, ensuring timely and accurate creation of professional materials.
• Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast- paced environment.
• Able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Review finished products to ensure that all specifications and contractual requirements have been met and that component accountability is complete.
• Review special process certifications for compliance to customer requirements.
• Review final inspection reports of details, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Develop and complete all final quality packages to be submitted to the customer for review.
• Get quotes and develop all downflow requirements on PO’s issued to suppliers for any special outside processes.
• Create, review, and approve toolInspection Records, FAI reports, CofC documents, etc. and compile final customer inspection packages.
• Follow the companies’ document control protocols per the Quality Management System.
• Support manual inspection utilizing micrometers, calipers, etc. to ensure the integrity of the components as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of customer and industry standards and specifications.
• Maintain and oversee all calibration requirements of machines, inspection equipment, inspection tools, etc. This requires weekly and monthly review of the calibration log, getting quotes for and scheduling all items for calibration.
• Serve as the primary liaison contact and support for customer quality representatives and source inspectors.
• Stay current and up to date on customer quality clauses and standards which may require online accounts.
• Physical review of tooling, tool ID, torque striping/bugging, proof load witnessing, vacuum, etc.
• Problem investigation and resolution in accordance with Nonconformance/Corrective Action Processes, Quality Manager, Build Lead, Program Manager, etc.
• Provide support to the build team, project managers, and other stakeholders by interpreting GD&T specifications and ensuring compliance with identification, paint, coating, welding, and testing requirements in accordance with customer standards.
• All employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality system

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
• Proficient in GD&T interpretation.
• Confident in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities to improve current processes.
• Ability to collaborate with the management team to help drive performance and efficiencies.
