Job summary

National Trench Safety is seeking a Welder Non-Certified in Conley, GA to perform diversified hand welding on complex assemblies and trenching equipment. The role is safety sensitive and requires adherence to all safety regulations and the company's drug and alcohol policy.

You will plan procedures, fabricate and repair equipment, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while supporting a variety of metalworking tasks. A formal welding apprenticeship or equivalent training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding experience.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Completion of apprenticeship or company training program.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders; plan procedures and material needs.
• Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Repair equipment using welding techniques and appropriate equipment.
• Prepare and set up surfaces for welding; tack weld parts as needed.
• Disassemble or cut obsolete equipment and set aside parts for scrap dealers.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; maintain equipment.
• Comply with the company safety policy and rules.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Must meet safety requirements and work hours as required.
• Must sign acknowledgment of reading and understanding the Company’s safety policy and adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations.

Job S ummary

The Welder Non-Certified position will perform diversified hand welding on a wide variety of complex assemblies and structures using welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machined parts and trenching and shoring equipment . This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job . Plans details of working procedure, and tool and material requirements.
• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded . Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Repairs worn or defective surfaces.
• Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• May be assigned to dismantle or cut up obsolete equipment, setting aside parts for scrap dealers .
• Completes other tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
• Must sign acknowledgment of reading and understanding the Company’s safety policy and adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

• Must have the ability to lift up to 5 0 pounds.
• Must be willing to work hours as required .
