RHA Health Services is hiring a Qualified Professional (QP) for a Facility Based Crisis in North Carolina. This on-site role supports adults in a 24/7 crisis center, focusing on skill-building, therapeutic mentoring, and recovery planning.

Shifts are 8–12 hours with differential pay for weekday nights, weekend days, and weekend nights. Responsibilities include case management, client support in various settings, and collaboration with clinical staff to promote independence and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field with 2+ years of full-time experience with the population served.
  • Bachelor's degree in a non-Human Services field with 4+ years of full-time experience with the population served.
  • Master’s degree or higher with 1+ year of full-time experience with the population served.
  • License, provisional license, certificate, or registration as required by the governing board.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues in home, school, workplace and community settings.
  • Focus is on assisting individuals to live independently with recovery-oriented, strength-based interventions.
  • Facilitates relationships and serves as a link between individuals, family, guardians, local agencies and the community.
  • Minimizes psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence impact on daily living and personal development.
  • Supports client skill-building in daily living, socialization, adaptation, and anger management.
  • Performs Case Management by linking and arranging services and referrals.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff to maintain communication and expedite service delivery.

We are hiring for: Qualified Professional / QP / Facility Based Crisis Type: Regular If you are a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health, and substance use challenges, join our team at RHA Health Services! The Qualified Professional is responsible for providing comprehensive support to clients through skill-building activities, psychoeducational guidance, and therapeutic mentoring. The role includes helping clients develop daily living, socialization, and adaptation skills, as well as managing symptoms and behavioral challenges. This position also involves planning for crisis and substance use recovery, fostering leisure interests, and offering strategies for anger and behavior management to promote overall personal growth and well-being. The Facility Based Crisis (FBC) Center is a community-based facility that serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization when appropriate. The FBC is a facility operating 24/7/365 for adults aged 18 and over experiencing behavioral, emotional, psychological, detox, or other acute crisis stabilization needs. The FBC provides short-term intensive evaluation, treatment intervention or behavioral management to stabilize acute or crisis situations.

Location: On-Site Multiple Shifts Available: 8-12 hour shifts 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift Shift Differential Available: 10% Weekday Nights 10% Weekend Days 15% Weekend Nights

Position Requirements
  • Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Professional.
  • Bachelor's degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served
  • Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served
  • OR Master’s Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served
  • License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Human Service Degrees Include: Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Service Degrees.
  • Populations Served Include: Mentally Ill-Child, Mentally Ill- Adult, Substance Abuse-Adult, Substance Abuse-Child.
Responsibilities
  • Provides support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues in home, school, workplace and community settings in accordance to the service definition.
  • Focus is on assisting individuals with living independently with interventions that are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest quality of life in the community.
  • Facilitating relationships and serving as a link between the individuals served, the company, family, guardians, local agencies and the community.
  • Minimizing the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence that interfere with the person’s daily living and personal development, providing supportive counseling.
  • Supporting the client in the development of various skill building activities, including: daily and community living skills, socialization skills, adaptation skills, and behavior and anger management.
  • Performing Case Management functions of linking and arranging for services and referrals.
  • Working closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and providing feedback, standardizing procedures and expediting service implementation.
  • All other duties as assigned.
