Job summary

PPG is seeking a Qualified Products Administrator to manage the QPL repository, coordinating with state DOT programs and cross-functional teams in Greensboro. You will ensure timely DOT submittals and maintain organized documentation across U.S.

states and Canadian provinces. You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Quality groups to support market introduction of new products, while staying current with evolving government standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service/administrative experience.
• Experience with government agency and contractor engagement is a plus.
• Knowledge of the traffic safety market is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of PPG Traffic Solutions products and market segments to facilitate collaboration in product qualification procedures.
• Ensure timely preparation of DOT submittals to meet approval and recertification deadlines; monitor progress until evaluation is finalized.
• Maintain organized repository of documentation for U.S. states and Canadian provinces for reference.
• Keep commercial teams informed of QPL updates and competition; record activity in Salesforce.
• Liaise with DOT program managers and coordinators tracking evaluation status and Build America Buy America aspects.
• Collaborate to expand strategic programs tracking risks, rewards, and opportunities related to QPL inclusion.
• Support product management and growth programs requiring product evaluations for market introduction.

Job description

As Qualified Products Administrator, you will manage the official Qualified Products List (QPL) repository of documentation for product qualifications and recertification, working with state departments of transportation (DOT) product evaluation programs. You facilitate the information collection process in collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Science and Technology, Quality Assurance, Product Stewardship, and Specifications. The Greensboro location will be your base and the Specifications Director will be your report-to manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop thoughtful understanding of all PPG Traffic Solutions' products and market segments to help identify and facilitate collaboration important to product qualification procedures
• Ensure preparation of DOT submittals to meet approval and recertification deadlines; monitor progress until evaluation finalized
• Maintain comprehensive and organized repository of documentation for all U.S. states and Canadian provinces for efficient and supportive reference
• Keep commercial teams informed of QPL updates related to PPG products as well as competition, and use Salesforce to record activity
• Liaison with DOT product evaluation program managers and coordinators tracking status of evaluation process and tracking of Build America Buy America (BABA) aspects
• Collaborate to expand strategic programs tracking risks, rewards, sales opportunities, and market growth related to QPL inclusion
• Support product management and commercial growth programs related to new product development stages requiring product evaluations for market introduction
• Ensure knowledge of QPL management skills is current with learning of new standards and procedures introduced by government agencies

Education / Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Customer service or relative administrative experience; 3+ years of experience
• Demonstrated experience with government agency and contractor engagement, a plus
• Working knowledge within the traffic safety market, a plus
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to take on responsibilities, challenges, and monitor processes requiring discernment of priorities to meet deadlines and mitigate risk
