Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) to support mental well-being in facilities in Mt. Angel, Woodburn, and Salem, OR.

You will work under licensed professionals, providing direct and indirect care and helping patients manage mental health challenges. Responsibilities include observations, therapeutic activities, group therapy, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Full certification as QMHA with MHACBO.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• TB screening within the last 12 months.
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or exemption.
• Able to perform essential functions with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patient observations and document findings.
• Assist in development and implementation of therapeutic activities.
• Support patients in daily activities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops.

As a leading provider of behavioral health services, we are seeking skilled professionals of the highest caliber who share our commitment to providing state-of-the-art mental health services to patients in Mt. Angel, Woodburn, and Salem, OR area.

SUMMARY:

As a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) within our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental well‑being of individuals by providing direct and indirect care under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. This position involves working closely with patients, helping them manage and cope with various mental health challenges.

JOB TYPE

• Full-time or Part time W2 options
• Hourly Compensation of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour (DOE)
• Weekday and Weekend shifts available
• Onsite in partner facilities located in Mt. Angel and surrounding area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct routine patient observations and document findings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities.
• Supporting patients in carrying out their daily activities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops.
• Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques when necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Assist in the administration of medication under the supervision of a licensed professional.
• Monitor and record patient progress in medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all applicable company policies, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance with organizational standards.
• Stay up to date with any required trainings, certifications, or continuing education requirements relevant to role, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting standards, and company compliance requirements including but not limited to actively participate in investigations, audits, and monitoring activities as required.
• Performing additional tasks, duties, and assignments as specified by your supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Full Certification as a QMHAwith the Mental Health Accreditation and Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
• CPR and First Aide Certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI) Certification preferred.
• An individual must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Adhere to applicable policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Tuberculosis (TB) screening with documented results, completed within the last (12) months.
• Up to date COVID-19 vaccination or provide an exemption as needed.

SKILLS:

• Previous experience in mental health or healthcare setting.
• Strong foundation in psychotherapy and counseling techniques.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Experience with group therapy facilitation.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software/tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams at contracted facilities and community partners to optimize patient outcomes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
