Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide for the New Castle Correctional Facility in New Castle, IN. This full-time night shift position works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to administer medications, document dosages, and monitor patients.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting in examinations and treatments, and aiding patients with daily living activities while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required.
• QMA certification required.
• Must be CPR certified.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and documents dosages and times of administration under RN or medical staff guidance.
• Takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and helps patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitors patients and reports changes in condition to the nursing team.

We are currently seeking a full-time Qualified Medication Aide to join our team at New Castle Correctional Facility located in New Castle, Indiana.

The Qualified Medication Aide works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The CMA takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The CMA must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required
• QMA certification required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: full-time nights, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
