Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a PRN Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) at Plainfield Correctional Facility in Plainfield, Indiana. The QMA works under RN supervision to administer medications, document dosages, and monitor patient conditions.

You will assist with daily living activities and support exam workflows within a correctional health setting. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a QMA training program, QMA certification, CPR certification, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Must be CPR-certified.
• One year of experience in acute, long-term, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.

Role Summary

We are currently seeking a PRN Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team at Plainfield Correctional Facility located in Plainfield, Indiana. The QMA (Indiana) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The QMA takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living while monitoring patients to report changes in their conditions.

Responsibilities

As a QMA, your primary duties include:- Assisting nurses with medication administration and documentation.- Taking vital signs and supporting examinations.- Helping patients with daily living activities.- Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required.
• QMA certification required.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• One (1) year of experience in acute care, long‑term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.
