Job summary

Sherman Buildings in Mora, MN, seeks a Qualified Framer to join our family-owned team with 50 years of experience building post-frame and residential structures. You will read blueprints, measure and cut wood, and install framing components to meet precise design and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' experience in the construction field.
Carpentry or framing experience required.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of framing structures.
Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand and power tools.
Assemble and install framing structures, including walls, floors, and roofs.
Install windows, doors, and other fixtures.
Provide the construction expertise, organizational and communication skills necessary to complete quality building projects profitably.
Complete projects on time and within budget.
Assist in the technical training and re-training of crew members, including new hires, to ensure they are fully trained and follow all safety and construction procedures.
Demonstrate and hold the standards of Sherman’s safety procedures as well as the efficient construction methods and quality standards of every building.
