Job summary

Fun Play ABA Therapy Services in Cypress, TX is seeking a qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) to design and oversee pediatric ABA treatment plans in-clinic. You will assess clients, set goals, supervise RBTs, and coach caregivers to deliver evidence-based care.

You will conduct VB-MAPP/FBA assessments, update plans, collect data, ensure documentation accuracy, and collaborate with therapists while maintaining BACB and payer guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Active QBA certification (or eligibility) in Texas; BCBA certification preferred.
  • Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years ABA experience with children with autism.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, FBA, etc.).
  • Excellent clinical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a clinic-based caseload.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) is responsible for the design, oversight, and clinical direction of individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans for pediatric clients receiving services in-clinic at Fun Play ABA Therapy Services. The QBA conducts assessments, develops and monitors treatment goals, supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavior technicians, and works directly with caregivers to support consistent, evidence-based care within the clinic setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, FBA, skills assessments) to inform individualized treatment planning
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update treatment plans, including skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals
  • Provide direct, in-clinic supervision, training, and competency evaluation for RBTs and behavior technicians per BACB/QBA supervision requirements
  • Design and oversee behavior intervention plans, including antecedent strategies, reinforcement procedures, and crisis/reactive protocols
  • Conduct regular caregiver training sessions to promote skill generalization across settings
  • Collect, graph, and analyze behavioral data to track client progress and adjust treatment as clinically indicated
  • Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation, including progress reports, treatment plan updates, and prior authorization/re-authorization paperwork
  • Ensure all clinical services comply with payer requirements, state QBA regulations, and BACB ethical guidelines
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and other members of the client's care team
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral emergencies within the clinic, following established safety protocols
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging clinic environment for clients and staff
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises RBTs and/or behavior technicians assigned to caseload
  • Provides ongoing performance feedback, competency assessments, and supervision hours in accordance with BACB and state requirements
Qualifications
  • Active QBA certification (or eligibility) in the state of Texas; BCBA certification preferred
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience providing ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder (experience level may vary by role)
  • Strong working knowledge of assessment tools (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, FBA, etc.)
  • Excellent clinical writing skills for treatment plans, progress notes, and payer documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with families, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage a caseload of clients within a clinic-based (center-based) service delivery model
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively engage with clients on the floor, including sitting, kneeling, and moving quickly if needed for safety
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed for safety interventions
  • Ability to remain on-site for full clinic shifts
Work Environment
  • This is an in-clinic (center-based) position requiring on-site presence at the Cypress, TX 77429 location
  • Standard clinic hours, Monday–Friday 8A- 4:30PM - Flexible scheduling.
