Job Summary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position plays the role of Data Protection Officer and understands the Privacy Commission’s requirements around the Privacy Act. Reviews the data protection processes and controls implemented by various stakeholders and provides recommendations for implementing technical and process controls. Provides periodic reports to management on the effectiveness of the implemented controls and identifies gaps.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leads or participates in projects and activities involving the use of security technologies related to the protection of Qualfon Infrastructure.
  2. Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of data and system security controls and practices.
  3. Works on problems of moderate to significant scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  4. Develops and delivers communications corporate-wide for the successful deployment of security controls.
  5. Key contributor for drafting organizational policies, standards, and guidelines.
  6. Acts as a Technical Security SME for the SoC and other stakeholders to provide guidance in identifying and implementing solutions.
  7. Acts as Security SME for Vendor Risk Management teams in their endeavors to perform third-party security assessments.
  8. Supports the overall enterprise strategy and process for information security, technology risk management, and compliance.
  9. Performs control-based audits.

Qualifications:

  • Any graduate degree.
  • More than 5 years of work experience in a related field at a supervisory level.
  • Certification preferred: CCNA, JNCIS-SEC, CISSP, CISA, ITIL Foundation.
  • Minimum experience: 10-15 years in the technology field, with at least 5-7 years in any of the security domains.
  • Work may require travel to other locations.
