Sanofi in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Modeling Scientist to advance mechanistic and QSP modeling within the Translational Disease Modeling group. Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in systems pharmacology, biology, computational biology, systems biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• For PhD: minimum 1 year of hands-on experience generating disease models, mechanistic/multiscale models or QSP models.
• For Master's: minimum 4 years of experience generating disease models, mechanistic/multiscale models or QSP models in industry/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Function as part of a team to develop and implement multiscale computational models of complex diseases based on detailed biological mechanistic knowledge.
• Survey literature to gain understanding of critical physiological processes to be represented, and identify suitable mechanistic elements, data, parameters and assumptions to be included.
• Analyze internal preclinical and clinical data to inform modeling activities.
• Contribute to the computational infrastructure of the TDM group.
• Assess the functionality, efficiency and validity of new models.
• Analyze simulation results and identify strategies to resolve issues with model performance and accuracy.
• Communicate technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Maintain extensive documentation of model development process, and data analysis.
• Maintain quantitative systems pharmacology expertise through education including conferences and workshops.
