Job summary

Crystal Stairs, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Resource & Referral QRIS Program Coaching Specialist to deliver QRIS coaching and technical assistance to QSLA child care programs.

You will conduct coaching sessions (virtual, onsite, and in-person), help providers reflect on progress, and develop quality improvement plans using SMART goals. The role emphasizes collaboration with Crystal Stairs QSLA staff, higher education partnerships, and engagement with funders to raise the program's

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in ECE/Child Development with 24 ECE units or Program Director Permit required; Masters preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in a child care setting with adult learners and diverse client population.
• Minimum two years designing and facilitating trainings.
• Experience with quality improvement programs with a strength-based approach.
• Strong knowledge of PAS, BAS, and child assessment tools (ASQ-3, ASQ:SE, DRDP).
• Familiarity with Quality Continuum Framework Rating Matrix, CLASS, ERS.
• Strong knowledge of higher education systems including transcripts and degree requirements; familiarity with CA Permit Matrix.

Responsibilities

• Provide QRIS coaching, technical assistance and training aligned with the coaching model.
• Conduct virtual, onsite and in-person coaching sessions and trainings in developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Share feedback, help providers reflect on progress, and assist in portfolio development.
• Develop Quality Improvement Plans using SMART Goals and monitor monthly coaching.
• Ensure project compliance with QRIS contracts and policy frameworks.
• Maintain communication with Crystal Stairs QRIS Team for effective program implementation.
• Coordinate with QSLA Crystal Stairs coaching staff to support sites.
• Build connections with local higher ed institutions and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in events to maintain visibility with funders and stakeholders.
• Maintain records of activities and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
