Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to design, build, and lead a unified Quality Management System across all sites as we pursue AS9100/ISO 9001 certification. This foundational role shapes quality culture from the ground up and reports to executive leadership.

You will standardize processes, drive CAPA, audits, and training, and partner with operations to ensure practical, audit-ready procedures across multiple locations while maintaining aerospace regulatory alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aviation/Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years of quality/compliance experience in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing.
• Direct experience leading or central role in achieving initial AS9100 or ISO 9001 certification.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, internal auditing).
• Ability to standardize processes across multiple locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train and influence at all levels.
• Willingness to travel regularly between sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and lead the implementation of a unified Quality Management System across all company sites.
• Standardize documents, forms, work instructions, and record-keeping company-wide.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; oversee CAPA and corrective actions to closure.
• Develop and deliver Compliance/QMS training and foster a culture of quality and compliance.
• Support supplier and customer quality and assist with quality audits as needed.
