Job summary

Miller’s Health Systems is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to provide basic patient care, administer medications, and document treatments in a cooperative long-term care setting.

Applicants must be certified in Indiana, complete required training, and demonstrate professionalism, communication, and teamwork to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Resident Care Assistant and Medication Assistant Training courses.
• Successful completion of the 60 hour Qualified Medication Assistant course and the 40 hour practicum.
• Pass the Qualified Medication Assistant exam.
• Certified as a Qualified Medicine Assistant by the State of Indiana.
• Registered with State Department of Public Instruction.
• Meet all qualifications for Nurse Assistant.
• Proven ability and experience as a resident care assistant.
• Experience in long term care preferred.
• Follow instructions.
• Communicate verbally and in writing.
• Is neat, well groomed and professional.
• Pass the physical examination required at employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to patients and assist with daily activities.
• Administer medications to patients and record related documentation.
• Watch for changes in patients and report them to the nursing team.
• Collect and record information vital to patients’ conditions and treatment.
