We are working with a Leading global investment bank seeking an experienced QIS Commodities Trader to join their front-office team in New York. This is a high-impact position for a commercially-driven professional with deep expertise across commodity markets and quantitative trading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead trader for a multi-billion dollar Commodity QIS book, managing diversified exposures across agriculture, energy, and metals.
• Design, price, and manage new QIS trades, including capacity planning and index structuring, in collaboration with quant and structuring teams.
• Execute discretionary trading strategies, including outrights, calendar spreads, and RV trades, with a focus on tactical and fundamental risk-taking.
• Oversee and hedge exposures on commodity-linked ETN products and support broader trading and risk management of the commodity QIS franchise.
• Support the launch and growth of new commodity index funds, contributing to significant asset raising efforts over multi-year periods.
• Collaborate with global front-office stakeholders to identify new revenue opportunities, leading to key client wins and increased pipeline visibility.
• Lead the automation of end-of-day trading operations, reducing manual effort in coordination with technology and support teams.
• Mentor junior traders, setting structured learning goals and supporting professional development.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–10+ years of experience in commodities trading with specific focus on QIS and quantitative strategies.
• Deep understanding of commodity market risk, commodity-linked interest rate structures, and pricing models.
• Strong track record of PnL generation, ideally with multi-asset commodity exposure.
• Excellent programming, quantitative, and analytical skills; ability to work closely with quant and structuring teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience managing cross-functional relationships across trading, structuring, quant, and support teams.
• Experience in mentoring or team leadership is a plus.
