Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a Human Service related field, or a Registered Nurse license is required for the QIDP position. Must meet Federal standards to qualify as a QIDP. A minimum of two years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is required. Note: If the applicant has a Bachelor's degree in any other field of study, they may qualify for the QIDP Assistant position. Management experience is also necessary.
Applicants without a degree may qualify for the QIDP Assistant position. The candidate must be able to design, implement, and monitor active treatment programming for individuals served. Supervisory skills are essential, including managing, training, and evaluating residential staff. Knowledge of ICF/MR regulations is preferred. The role requires strong communication, organization, leadership skills, and the ability to manage financial accounts. Computer skills, including Internet/Intranet, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and database applications, are strongly preferred. The candidate must demonstrate commitment to ARCA’s Workforce/Supervisory Competencies and be an ARCA-approved driver.
The QIDP is responsible for performing initial and ongoing assessments of individuals receiving services to identify learning and training needs. They work with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and establish program goals. The role includes training and monitoring staff, supervising a Residential Manager, and overseeing facility management to ensure compliance with licensure and quality standards. Responsibilities also include managing household finances, maintaining records, overseeing household maintenance, and ensuring safety. The QIDP manages the annual financial budget for their assigned homes. Caseload: 14-16. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with possible variations. Salary: $30.00 to $32.00 depending on education and field of degree.
