Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a QHSE Technician to support quality, health, safety, and environmental standards on projects. The role involves implementing QHSE programs, conducting inspections, training employees, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, training delivery, and performance reporting while coordinating with project teams to embed QHSE in all project phases. Travel to multiple sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• At least 2+ years in a QHSE role, preferably in construction/engineering/energy.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations and QHSE management systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to conduct effective QHSE training sessions and travel to sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with QHSE regulations and company standards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide QHSE training and awareness sessions to employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor and track QHSE performance metrics, preparing reports for management.
• Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained for project operations.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate QHSE considerations into all phases of project execution.
• Maintain accurate and organized QHSE documentation and records.
• Stay informed of relevant QHSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Respond to and manage emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or energy industry.
• Knowledge of relevant QHSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) .
• Strong understanding of QHSE management systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to conduct effective training sessions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP, CHST) are a plus.
