Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a QHSE Director to develop and oversee global safety, quality and health programs in Houston. You will lead a dedicated team, drive improvements, manage audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, and international standards.

This hybrid role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to communicate action plans to senior leadership and across functions while advancing a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality and/or safety management or related field preferred.
• Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5–10 years supervisory or managerial experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Minimum 5 years experience with ISO, LEAN, Zero Defect Programs, Six Sigma or other quality management methodologies.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and implement global safety, quality, and health programs across all operations.
• Establish safety training, equipment maintenance, forklift certification, and compliance tracking systems.
• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations across all countries and transportation modes.
• Develop and implement safety and quality strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and hazard identification.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO and other regulations and standards.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Establish safety and quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems.
• Conduct jobsite assessments to verify compliance and hazard controls.
• Drive quality initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Zero Defect programs.
• Develop cross-functional teams to strengthen safety, quality, and operations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and adapt programs for compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership and authorities to strengthen accountability.
