Job summary

Shea Concrete, New England's Premier Precaster, is hiring a Quality Control Technician for our Amesbury, MA and Wilmington, MA plants. This year-round role offers $28/hr-$34/hr based on experience and requires eligibility to obtain an ACI certification. The QC Tech will test products and support QC processes across production.

Responsibilities include field tests, post-pour inspections, and coordination with Production Supervisors. Experience in QC and precast is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Grade 1 certification preferred.
• NPCA PQS Training preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Computers and tablets skills are required.

• Conduct quality control inspections in the manufacturing plant.
• Inspect product after removal from forms (Post-Pour).
• Notify Production Supervisor of deficiencies.
• Perform and/or schedule repairs on products as needed.

Shea Concrete, New England's Premier Precaster, is currently hiring for a Quality Control (QC) Technician at our year-round plant located at our Amesbury, MA plant, and our Wilmington, MA plant. This is a year round facility in a fast paced environment. $28/hr-$34/hr based on experience. With assistance from Shea Concrete, you must be willing to obtain an ACI certification.

The Quality Control Technician (“QC Technician”) will work within Shea Concrete’s production plant and is ultimately responsible for product testing. The QC Tech will assist in the execution of quality control processes, procedures and protocol associated with the production of pre and post concrete pours. QC Experience required, Precast experience preferred.

• Responsible for ACI concrete field tests
• Responsible for quality control inspections in manufacturing plant
• Inspect product after removed from forms (Post-Pour)

Requirements:

• Computers and tablets skills are required in order to perform tasks.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/bend/stretch/reach/kneel/crawl, etc.
• Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time throughout work shift.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
• Must be able to work with heights up to 10 feet.
• Must wear proper PPE at all times in a production plant environment
