Qualifications

  • High school diploma with lab work in a science discipline; associate's degree preferred.
  • 1 year related experience preferred performing lab bench work with instrumentation and data reporting.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with both programs.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail; ability to follow procedures.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical GMPs and quality/regulatory requirements.
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses using instrumental and automated methods per prescribed procedures.
  • Generate valid data and report results; compare to specifications per GMPs.
  • Assess results; decide if repetition or OOS is required.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab instrumentation and procedures.
  • Review SOPs and analytical procedures as needed.
  • Schedule activities to meet deadlines for customer needs.
  • Adhere to safety training and job-related requirements.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Stand/walk for extended periods and bend as needed.

Job Title: QC Technologist
Job Description

A successful candidate will perform Environmental Monitoring tasks in support of Steriles production within classified areas. The individual is encouraged to follow the company’s core values: integrity, innovation, intensity, and involvement. The job requires knowledge of aseptic gowning and working in cleanrooms to monitor areas where sterile products are filled and manufactured. Typical shift hours are 6 PM to 6 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

  • Perform analyses including instrumental and automated methods using prescribed procedures and techniques.
  • Generate valid data, report results on appropriate database compared to established specifications while adhering to GMPs.
  • Compare laboratory results with specifications for acceptability and determine if repetition or OOS is required.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot instrumentation problems, procedural problems, or production problems.
  • Review and understand SOPs and analytical procedures as needed.
  • Schedule activities to meet target dates for customer needs.
  • Follow all job-related safety and other training requirements.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by area supervision or designee.
  • Able to withstand extended periods of standing and/or walking and bending.
  • High school diploma including laboratory work in a science discipline. An associate's degree in a science-related field, preferably Biology, is preferred.
  • 1 year related experience preferred performing lab bench work including utilizing instrumentation and reporting data.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Word and familiarity with using each program.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Organization and detailed planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Good knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical GMPs.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations.
  • Relevant post-secondary educational courses.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

This position primarily focuses on production line support and involves extended periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and crouching. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and/or move weights of 25-50 pounds, and occasionally push or pull 50-100+ pounds. Dexterity in arms, hands, and fingers is necessary, including the ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods. Visual acuity is required for using a keyboard, computer monitor, operating equipment, and reading materials. The position also requires the ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for extended periods. Ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination are needed to move about the environmental lab.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, NC.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
